Sodomy Causing Conflict

From Herodotus, we have an account of how Peisistratus was deposed for disgracing Megacles' daughter by only practicing sodomy with her (1.61).

A summary:

Pisistratus marries Megacles' daughter, but fears to have children because of the curse on the Alcmaeonids (Megacles' ancestors) and so practices birth control by continually sodomizing Megacles' daughter. The problem is discerning the respective influences of nature and culture in shaping human character, a question that has not been resolved.
